Packaging dies (shaped)

    Construction of packaging dies

Packaging dies is also known as shaped boxes.

Shaped boxes of any shape and size

Their characteristic feature is the individual construction, which is achieved by using special punching.

This type of packaging gives virtually unlimited possibilities in the field of obtaining non-standard shapes of cartons.

The ease of folding cartons translates into their high functionality.

The production technology first requires the creation of a special matrix with which we will obtain the desired shape of the packaging. Individual models can be equipped with additional closures, handles or windows. The punching cartridges ordered from us are usually sent flat, ready for use.

    Production of packaging dies

The die (puncher) is a tool helpful in the production of packaging. The special die design with permanently mounted plywood, knives or perforations is responsible for forming a cardboard sheet. In the first place, after talking with the client, we create a packaging grid to send a sketch of the box and apply any changes (eg to insert the openings for the hands).

Sample project changes after sending the prototype to the customer

After the initial acceptance of the project, we cut out the package on the plotter, send the customer a 'prototype' to check whether the chosen form is suitable and whether it meets all assumptions.

This is the last stage before the die and the perfect moment for introducing corrections, such as adding openings to the palms or changes in size.

Using such a tool, we are able to create all packaging from the fefco catalog and more complex, unusual constructions.

The main advantages of punching cardboards are the high aesthetics and accuracy of the cut template. This is especially important for projects with prints and for product displays, which often consist of many matching elements.

    Closing of cardboard boxes

Carefully thought out shape makes these cartons fold easily. Individual models of packaging dies may have the following form of closing:

    • self-loading cartons,
    • cartons closed without additional connecting materials,
    • cartons combined in one-point.

The ease of closing cardboard boxes, which does not require the use of staples, adhesives or tapes, makes individual die-cutting carton models very practical.

    The use of cardboard boxes

These packaging are perfectly suitable for packaging products of smaller size.

Large and small packaging used in various industries

They are commonly used in the food industry, most often for storing vegetables and fruits.

They are also very successfully used for packaging of small items such as footwear, sweets, books, small items, or office supplies.

We also manufacture large size punching packages that are used by numerous production plants, trading companies to pack goods of any size.

We have experience in the production of the following cardboard packaging die models:

    • shaped,
    • ornamental,
    • archiving,
    • food,
    • special,
    • for cosmetics.

    Packaging dies for individual orders

We produce cardboard boxes of various forms, according to the individual preferences of customers. Our only limitation is the format of the punching machine. You can order cartons containing additional perforations or unusual types of closures. We offer the possibility of using additional reinforcements in selected carton models.

In addition, the multicolour overprint on the surface of the cartons will make the ordered cardboard boxes look very attractive.

Prints on various types of cardboard

We make prints on many types of cardboard, including:

    • corrugated 3-layer wave E, B, C, F - weight from 280 gr / m2 to 710 gr / m2. Thickness of cardboard from 2 - 4 mm (due to one wave, it happens that customers call this raw material with single-layer cardboard).
    • corrugated 5-layer wave BC EB EF EE, grammage from 480 gr / m2 to 1450 gr / m2 from 4 mm to 7 mm (due to two waves, it happens that customers call this raw material with double-layer cardboard).
    • 4-layer corrugated board with visible external wave EB FE EE from 3 mm to 4 mm.
    • laminated corrugated cardboard - thickness depending on the wave type. Lamination is nothing but the refinement of cardboard, as a result of gluing it with thin paper. Lamination is usually performed for technical or decorative purposes.
    • recycled solid or bleached cardboard from 350 - 600 gr / m2 thickness 0.5 mm - 2 mm
